While Veterinary Doctors lament the intrusion of quacks into the profession, a fake Veterinary doctor was yesterday nabbed by the police in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The offender was accused of going about to inject pets and duping unsuspecting residents of the state capital, Osogbo before his arrest.
He is now in police custody while the fore is investigating into the matter.
In a statement, the suspect could not provide evidence that he was a vet doctor after being apprehended.
“The quack veterinary doctor was going about to inject pets and duping unsuspecting residents of the state capital, Osogbo when he was arrested. “The quack vet doctor could not produce his Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN) number upon request,” the statement read in part.
Stating further, the statement said, “The Director, Veterinary Services, Ministry of Agric, Dr. Abosede Olatokun said the suspect has since been handed over to men of the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation.”
